Right now, the kitchen concept "HACKA" is presented at the #IKEAtemporary exhibition in Milan at Via Vigevano,18. It is a low-tech kitchen for simple outdoor cooking that brings together a mix of Swedish and Italian design. There are different core functions of the system, like non-standard measurements and the use of different materials. It also mixes products from IKEA and third parties, as well as things you produce yourself. The style is an eclectic combination of rough, ad hoc, customized and funky.
It's a functional kitchen with simple features. You can cook with a barbeque using a gas burner. Washing and drinking water comes from a container connected to a hose. Sitting and eating takes place around a bar, where you can pick your own herbs for your food.
We hope the kitchen and process show our passion for creativity, building, tinkering - and for food. We want to help people see the possibilities so they feel inspired to create something with the system and try to hack it themselves. It's not just a modular system with building blocks, but something that ist meant for hacking - something you can make your own.
